Route & Load Kit
Equip Sanctuary to organise collections, deliveries, bikes, donated items and practical jobs safely on grouped routes.
The problem
Loose tools, donations, bikes and mixed collections waste space and time and make one vehicle much less useful across multiple Sanctuary branches.
The idea
Create a modular Route Kit so the same vehicle can switch between services, Exchange collections, bike movement, community resources and events without a permanent specialist fit-out.
The plan
Buy or secure modular storage, load boxes, trolley/load handling equipment, tie-downs and basic racking. Keep the system removable so it transfers to the dedicated Mobile Depot van.
Where we are
Ready to fund. The established Route Kit planning envelope is £800–£1,500; this project uses the £1,500 complete-build target. No contribution is recorded yet.
The story
Before a dedicated van is fully fitted out, Sanctuary needs the route hardware that makes an existing vehicle or future van useful: storage boxes, racking, trolley/load handling and secure modular organisation.
What we already have
- An existing vehicle that can support early grouped routes
- Route and logistics software architecture
- Defined collection, delivery and service use cases
